For wildlife photography, essential equipment includes a DSLR or mirrorless camera, telephoto lens (300mm+), tripod, camera bag, memory cards, extra batteries, and possibly camouflage gear or a hide for concealment.
Approach slowly, avoid sudden movements or noise. Use natural cover for concealment. Maintain a safe distance, respecting their behavior cues. Patience is key for natural interactions.
Opt for fast shutter speeds (1/500s or faster), wide apertures for blurred backgrounds, and higher ISO for low light. Continuous autofocus and burst mode capture action. Adjust settings based on lighting and subject movement.
