Waterfalls present unique challenges and opportunities for photographers, with their dynamic movement and ever-changing lighting conditions. In this course, we’ll explore techniques and strategies for creating stunning waterfall images that truly stand out.

Waterfall photography requires careful attention to composition, exposure, and timing to capture the essence of flowing water in a captivating way. Through a combination of theory and practical exercises, I’ll teach you how to choose the best vantage points, compose compelling compositions, and use long exposure techniques to create silky-smooth water effects.

Understanding the interplay of light and water is crucial in waterfall photography. We’ll discuss how to leverage natural light, as well as techniques for using filters and other tools to control exposure and enhance the mood of your images. From soft, ethereal light to dramatic, high-contrast scenes, you’ll learn how to adapt to different lighting conditions and create dynamic waterfall photographs.

In addition to technical instruction, this course will also cover the artistic aspects of waterfall photography, such as storytelling and capturing the unique character of each waterfall. Through guided photo outings to some of the most picturesque waterfalls in the area, you’ll have the opportunity to put your skills into practice and develop your own distinctive style.
